Where it all started
January 2016
The Fines family purchased two struggling Home Hardware Stores in Ingleside & Cornwall.
August 2016
Grand Opening of Fines Home Hardware Building Centre in Ingleside. Including fully stocked lumberyard, complete interior renovation and construction of 11,000ft2 lumber warehouse.
May 2017
Grand Opening of Fines Home Hardware in Cornwall. Completely renovated interior and revamped product selection in existing location.
May 2019
Founding of Fines Design & Consulting with an intention of supporting our customers having an all encompassing solution to design, supply and build their new home or home renovation.

March 2021
Opening of Fines Home Hardware Building Centre in Cornwall. Introducing the completely renovated 75,000ft2 building on 7 acre property, changing the landscape of Home Hardware in Cornwall. New store includes a drive through lumberyard, complete home design centre and tripled our offerings hardware and home supplies.
2023
Scott Fines & the Fines Team where honoured to be named the Young Retailer of the Year (National Hardware & Paint Association) and Best Young Retailer Central (Home Hardware Stores Limited).
September 2023
After being delayed in an ‘official’ Opening – We hosted a Grand Opening event including a huge sale event and a ‘lumberyard concert’ benefitting Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Meet Our Team Members

Owners – The Fines Family
The Fines family has been a part of the Home Hardware family since the 1970’s. As a part of the Home Hardware Dealer-Owner Community, Scott’s parents – Murray and Andrea – owned Fines Home Hardware Building Centre in Shelburne Ontario from 1990 – 2012. Then in 2016 Amanda and Scott Fines joined the Dealer-Owner community in both Ingleside and Cornwall Ontario. Amanda enters with the background of a Middle & High School teacher with a side-gig of teachning multi-disciplinary dance and cheeleading. Scott entered (back) into the Home Hardware world with a P.Eng in Civil – Structural Engineering and worked as a Project Manager for commercial, industrial and civil projects in Nova Scotia and Alberta.
